As reported by Augsburger Allgemeine, Bundesliga side Augsburg have registered their interest in signing right-back Issa Kaboré (21) from Manchester City.
Kaboré’s representatives have also confirmed interest from Augsburg. After spending last season on loan at Troyes and with a contract until 2025, it would take a significant fee for Manchester City to allow the Burkina Faso international to leave, but another loan move could be an option.
Augsburg face competition from Premier League duo Nottingham Forest and Southampton to sign Kaboré and NFFC have already seen their opening offer of €20m rejected, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Kaboré played 31 games last season for French side Troyes and at 21, already has 27 international caps with Burkina Faso. With full-backs a playing a key role for new FCA head coach Enrico Maaßen, strengthening at right-back is key for the Bundesliga, but are also in no rush with four weeks of the window remaining.
