Atlético Madrid will not sack manager Diego Simeone, according to Relevo.
Financial reasons and respect for the work the Argentine has done for the club over a decade mean Atlético are happy for him to stay in the dugout for the foreseeable future.
At the Cívitas Metropolitano, there is still support for Simeone, despite a poor Champions League campaign. In January, it is likely that, with the right offer, a top player could leave Atlético.
All eyes are on Joao Félix, especially because of his relationship with Simeone. If Jorge Mendes arrives with a big offer for the player, it will be evaluated. The report adds that there could be interest from the Premier League.
New deal for Koke?
As of today, there have not yet been any talks over a new deal for club captain Koke, who has a contract until 2024. Brazilian centre-back Felipe, whose deal expires next June, is not expected to renew.
