A transfer-linked member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid was on Tuesday spotted back in training with the rest of the club’s squad.
The player in question? Samu Omorodion.
Frontman Omorodion, of course, saw his name take its place front and centre in the media headlines across all of Europe this past weekend.
As much came after the youngster’s long-discussed move to England with Chelsea collapsed at the very last minute.
With Omorodion in west London, ready to put pen to paper on his contract, the board at Stamford Bridge opted to pull the plug on the transfer, hanging both Atléti and their talented striker hanging out to dry.
Ensuing chatter has pointed towards Atlético continuing to seek out a new home for Omorodion, eager to secure fresh funds following the big-money signing of Julián Álvarez.
For the time being, though, the Spaniard is back at the command of Diego Simeone.
As much is evidenced in the photo below, confirming that Omorodion was back in the thick of things in training in Madrid on Tuesday:
