A harrowing story centering on Atlético Madrid star Ángel Correa has come to the fore late on Saturday evening.
The info comes exclusively by way of Cadena Cope, who have revealed that the Argentine international was the victim of an armed robbery at his home in Madrid.
According to the report, Correa and his family were held at gunpoint, as four masked assailants demanded jewellery and cash.
An investigation has since been launched into the incident, after local police were notified on Saturday.
Thankfully, no word of injuries suffered by either the 28-year-old or any member of his family has surfaced.
Correa, for his part, has been heavily linked with a departure from Atlético of late, amid intense interest in his services from the Saudi Pro League.
The talented frontman, though, will no doubt have his focus on matters away from the pitch over the days to come, on a difficult night for all in the Correa household.
