The final round of Champions League group stage fixtures was played to completion a short time ago.
Four of La Liga’s five representatives managed to book their respective places in the competition’s last 16, with only Sevilla having failed to do so.
Just who, though, could be waiting in store for all of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, and Real Sociedad in the knockout rounds of European football’s elite club tournament?
Despite having topped their respective groups, tough tests could yet wait in store for any of the Spanish quartet, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and last season’s finalists, Inter Milan, on the agenda.
Below, check out the possible Champions League last 16 opponents for all of Madrid, Barca, Atlético, and Real Sociedad:
Real Madrid
Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Lazio, FC Porto, RB Leipzig, Copenhagen, or PSV Eindhoven
Barcelona
Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Lazio, Napoli, RB Leipzig, Copenhagen, or PSV Eindhoven
Atlético Madrid
Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, FC Porto, Napoli, RB Leipzig, Copenhagen, or PSV Eindhoven
Real Sociedad
Paris Saint-Germain, Lazio, FC Porto, Napoli, RB Leipzig, Copenhagen, or PSV Eindhoven
The draw for the knockout rounds is set to take place on Monday, December 18, at 12 pm (CET).
