AS Roma have identified Chelsea striker Armando Broja as a potential target this summer, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.
With the transfer window slamming shut in two weeks, Giallorossi have been intensively scouring the market for a new centre-forward to cope with the absence of injured Tammy Abraham.
Roma have been prioritising moves for Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and Marcos Leonardo of Santos, but the Italian giants are now looking at Broja as an alternative target.
However, negotiations with the Blues could prove to be tough, as they have already turned down AC Milan’s loan offer for Broja.
The West Londoners are determined to keep hold of the Albanian international due to the lack of striker options in the squad, with summer signing Nicholas Jackson being the only other option available.
Di Marzio also claims that Giallorossi are keeping tabs on Real Betis striker Willian Jose.
The Brazilian forward was previously wanted by Jose Mourinho during the latter’s managerial stint at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 31-year-old joined Betis on loan in 2021 before making his move permanent last summer.
Willian Jose is not the first choice for Manuel Pellegrini, having started in only six games in La Liga last season.
Roma are closing in on a double swoop for Paris Saint-Germain midfielders Renato Sanches and Leandro Paredes, who both have arrived in the Italian capital to undergo medical tests.
The Giallorossi have parted ways with Nemanja Matic and Roger Ibanez while adding Evan Ndicka, Houssem Aouar and Rasmus Kristensen to their ranks in the transfer window.

Roma will face Salernitana in their Serie A opener this weekend.
