Bayer Leverkusen full-back Arthur faces a further three months on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury in training.

It’s been an injury-plagued season so far for Arthur, who has made just three appearances for Bayer Leverkusen since joining from Brazil in the summer.

Now, as Bayer Leverkusen confirmed on Tuesday, the 20-year-old has suffered another serious injury setback.

Only recently returning to training after a long spell on the sidelines due to a muscle issue, the Brazilian has suffered a similar injury and is expected to be sidelined for three months.

Arthur picked up the injury in training on Monday.
