Arsenal to Make ‘Formal’ Offer for ‘Unstoppable’ Striker in ‘Next Few Hours’

Arsenal are set to make a formal offer for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres in the coming hours, according to Record.

The Gunners are desperate to add to their attacking lineup this summer after finishing as runners-up in the Premier League for a third consecutive season, and Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new number nine to bolster their goal numbers next season.

Talks have been ongoing over a deal for the 27-year-old Sweden international for a while, and now the north London side are set to make their official move imminently.

Arsenal to Make Gyokeres Offer in Hours

After advancing in talks to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in recent days, it seems that Arsenal transfer supremo Andrea Berta is keeping his options open by keeping talks active for Gyokeres too.

Reports in Portugal claimed that Gyokeres’ agent was in talks with Arsenal on Wednesday evening to try and find an agreement, while Record claim that Manchester United were also part of those conversations with the agent on the same day.

Now, Arsenal are preparing to make an official offer in the coming hours to get a deal over the line for the striker, who has been described as ‘unstoppable’ and ‘the hottest striker in Europe’ after his performances this season.
