Ecuadorian defender Willian Joel Pacho Tenorio’s inaugural season playing in Germany’s commercial and financial capital has, by all means, been a smashing success. The 22-year-old has started all but one of 25 Bundesliga fixtures for Dino Toppmöller’s Eintracht Frankfurt. Amid looking largely solid in 27 appearances across all competitions, the nine-times-capped international has boosted his estimated market worth up to €24 million.
German transfer guru Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany reports that both Arsenal and Liverpool F.C. have contacted Eintracht to express interest in Pacho. Markus Krösche and the SGE front office are nevertheless, per Plettenberg, demanding €60 million for the player they signed for some €9 million last spring. The central defender’s current deal in the RheinMain metropolis runs through 2028.
