An insight into the alleged plans of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti to set his side out against Real Sociedad has today been forthcoming.
The info comes courtesy of Diario AS, and points towards the Italian readying a whole host of changes to his XI.
Real, of course, are fresh off all but securing their status as La Liga champions.
Owing to a 3-2 victory over arch rivals Barcelona on Sunday, Los Blancos have opened up an 11-point advantage atop the table, an all but insurmountable gap with just six games to play.
With the first leg of the club’s Champions League semi-final tie with Bayern Munich set to play out early next week, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of some of Real’s most high-profile stars being in line for a rest this weekend.
Los Merengues will mark their return to action on Friday, in a meeting with the aforementioned Real Sociedad at Anoeta.
And, as per the aforementioned AS, a number of less-seen members of Ancelotti’s ranks are in line to feature.
Both youngster Arda Güler and the returning Éder Militão, it is suggested, are expected to take their places in the starting XI.
Also looking likely to take to the pitch from the off in the Basque Country, meanwhile, are all of Lucas Vázquez, Fran García, Dani Ceballos, Brahim Díaz, Joselu, and potentially even Kepa Arrizabalaga.
