Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Charles Aranguiz is set for weeks on the sidelines due to a calf injury, according to Kicker.
The 33-year-old missed the last five Bundesliga games before the winter break due to calf problems and has now suffered a new setback.
Per Kicker, Aranguiz is not expected back in training until the beginning of January at the earliest.
In addition to Aranguiz, Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso currently has to manage without Patrik Schick (groin problems), Callum Hudson-Odoi (personal reasons), Timothy Fosu-Mensah (muscular problems), Piero Hincapie (yet to return after getting eliminated from the World Cup with Ecuador) as well as Exequiel Palacios and Jeremie Frimpong (still at the World Cup).
