Ángel Di María has not made a dream start to his life at Juventus, with injuries marring his spell in Italy since the Argentinian left Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window of 2022.
According to a report from Italian journalist Daniele Longo, Di María is keen on returning to Rosario Central next summer after his contract with the Bianconeri expires in June 2023. The report understands that the player is willing to take a 50% pay cut on his current salary of €7.5 million.
Last summer, the former Real Madrid man made it very clear to the Bianconeri management that he would part ways with the Old Lady after one year in Turin. And the injury-impacted start to the 2022/23 season has done little to change the player’s intention to leave the club.
Despite being interested in leaving the Italian side, the 34-year-old has reportedly insisted that he would not leave Juventus in the January transfer window. Instead, he will wait until next summer, when the veteran finally frees himself to follow the path of his desire.
