Four years after his €4.5 million transfer from FC Midtjylland, Andreas Poulsen has left Borussia Mönchengladbach to return to Denmark.
‘Die Fohlen’ confirmed today that the Danish left-back has signed for Danish Superliga side Aalborg BK.
“Unfortunately, both sides had expected more from Andi’s time at Borussia. I hope that his career will get back on track in Aalborg and that he will be able to live up to his potential,” said Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus.
Poulsen, who spent last season on loan at Ingolstadt, made just a single appearance for Gladbach’s first team.
