Werder Bremen’s pursuit of re-signing André Silva failed to materialize.
André Silva didn’t score a non-penalty goal for Werder Bremen in a six-month loan spell, but they were interested in bringing back the striker for the upcoming season. However, that pursuit will now be over as the former Portugal international finds a new club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the newly-promoted LaLiga side Elche is finalizing the move after reaching full agreement in principle with RB Leipzig. The transfer is expected to be on a permanent basis since his contract at Leipzig runs out at the end of this season.
Including a remarkable 28 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2020/21 season, Silva scored 57 Bundesliga goals in 136 appearances for three clubs.
