Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nadiem Amiri has apparently attracted interest from the French Ligue 1.

According to Bild, both Olympique Lyon and Olympique Marseille are interested in signing the 27-year-old.

Amiri has just six months left on his contract, but Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes recently stated that the club have no plans to let any players leave in January.

“As things stand, we won’t be letting any players go in the winter. If we do, we’ll have to get some,” Rolfes told Bild.

Marseille showed interest in Amiri in the summer and reportedly even reached an agreement with him before pulling out after missing out on Champions League qualification.

He then came close to joining Leeds United, but ultimately stayed at the BayArena.

Amiri, 27, has played just 14 minutes of Bundesliga football so far this season.
