Schalke duo Amine Harit and Ozan Kabak both returned to the club on Thursday following an extended leave of absence as they search for a new club, according to Bild.
Harit (25) and Kabak (22) were given an extra three days off as S04 look to offload the duo to decrease their salary expenditure. The duo introduced themselves to new head coach Frank Kramer but Rouven Schröder has made it clear that they don’t have a future at the Royal Blues.
Harit joined Schalke in 2017 for €8m but following their relegation last season, joined Marseille on loan where he was involved in eight goals (4 goals, 4 assists). Kabak spent the 2021/22 season on loan at then Premier League side Norwich City but played just 924 minutes across 924 games.
Schalke have set a €10m price tag for Harit, who has two-years remaining on his contract. The newly-promoted Bundesliga side also rejected an offer from Ligue 1 club Nice in June.
