Real Betis left-back Álex Moreno is on the verge of signing for Aston Villa, according to journalist Matteo Moretto.
Relevo report that Moreno will not play in the Spanish Super Cup, which will be played from 11 January in Saudi Arabia.
Betis are finalising the transfer of the left-back to Villa, the club that has shown the most interest in Moreno, and it has been decided that the player will not travel with the team.
Betis arrived at San Pablo airport without Moreno and in Birmingham, they are expecting the attacking full-back to undergo a medical in the next few hours.
Unai Emery’s strong interest has meant that the parties have reached an agreement. He will move for €15m, which includes variables (€13.5m+€1.5m).
Rayo Vallecano, the club that transferred Moreno to Betis, own 20% of the rights, and according to sources close to the club, they will also take part of the fee.
