Al-Khelaifi raging at Kylian Mbappe

At the end of next week, Kylian Mbappe will play his final game for Paris Saint-Germain in the French Cup Final against Lyon.

After a goodbye video that the player released on social media, all appeared to be well with the French World Cup winner and his soon-to-be ex-club.

The long-drawn out process of him leaving appeared to have been handled sensitively, even if it seemed that when the news first leaked nearer the beginning of the season, the club were looking to try everything to keep hold of their talisman.

Now, however, Le Parisien have reported on a huge bust-up between the striker and Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Al-Khelaifi and Mbappe in slanging match

According to the outlet, before the match against Toulouse last weekend, the president and his front man met in a room where the former apparently demanded to know why he was left out of Mbappe’s goodbye video.

Why there was no word of thanks to him or the Emir of Qatar.

It’s understandable why Al-Khelaifi might’ve seen that as an affront, though it seems the club have tried to smooth everything over after the media got wind of the argument which forced PSG to delay their warm-up.

Le Parisien go on to note that a press release was swiftly sent round on Monday suggesting that rumours of the shouting match were untrue.

Either way, it does appear that the sooner Mbappe can move on, it can bring the curtain down on his career at the club and both he and PSG can move on to bigger and better things.

If, as expected, he moves on to Real Madrid, the hope will surely be that his ego doesn’t get the better of him whilst at the Santiago Bernabeu, as Florentino Perez is certainly not a man he wants to be messing with.
