RB Leipzig’s Brian Brobbey is set to leave Germany this summer, with Ajax closing in on the young Dutchman’s signature.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement appears to be in its final stages, with both clubs feeling positive that the deal will get over the line. Brobbey has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Ajax and it’s now just a waiting game as to when the deal will officially be signed.
Brobbey will leave the Bundesliga after just one season and will be re-joining his hometown club where he made 12 appearances for the first team, as well as 32 appearances for Jong Ajax before making the move to Saxony.
Brobbey has spent the last six months on loan back at Ajax, with the youngster set to stay in Amsterdam as the deal becomes permanent. A breakthrough season for the player scoring seven goals in 11 appearances has evidently impressed Ajax, with the Dutch champions hoping for more of the same during next season’s campaign.
