Bayern Munich were reportedly interested in Dean Huijsen before he moved from Bournemouth to Real Madrid this summer, according to his agent, Ali Barat.
Barat discussed the significant interest in his client in an interview with AS.
“After he started playing with the national team, we had around seven big clubs interested: Bayern, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle… Everyone wanted Dean, honestly,” he said.
However, when Real Madrid came knocking, it was game over for the other contenders.
“When Real Madrid came along, it was an easy decision: there were many clubs, but with Madrid, there was no doubt.”
Ultimately, Bayern strengthened their central defense with Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer.
