Adrien Rabiot remains ambiguous on Juventus future

With his contract expiring at the end of the campaign, France midfielder Adrien Rabiot’s future remains up in the air, not least in the midst of a turbulent season on and off the pitch for Juventus.

Despite his impressive performances this season – notably in front of goal, finding the net eight times for his best-ever scoring season – the Bianconeri find themselves in 7th place, having been hit with a 15-point deduction over their role in the Serie A capital gains scandal.

Rabiot, who scored in this weekend’s defeat to Lazio, has remained elusive on his future – with a free transfer, as was the case when he left his formative club Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, not necessarily out of the question. Speaking in the mixed zone after the loss to Maurizio Sarri’s men – as reported by RMC – the French international explained that discussions would take place at the end of the campaign:

“I don’t know if I’m going to sign a new contract and stay here. I’m still waiting to hold talks with the club. I’m trying to do my best on the pitch to help the team, and we’ll look back on things at the end of the season. We’ll speak about my future at the end of the season – right now, the most important thing is the team and putting in good performances.”
