The DFB disciplinary committee announced on Friday that Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi will be suspended through the domestic cup quarterfinals should the BVB make it that far in this year’s competition.

Karim Adeyemi’s challenge on Hannover 96’s Derrick Köln during the 85th minute of Dortmund’s recent Pokal victory was deemed worthy of a straight red by match official Sven Jablonski. On Friday, the German FA handed down an additional two-game-suspension for the 20-year-old.
The Westphalian will not appeal the ruling, which shall keep Adeyemi out of both the upcoming round-of-16 and the quarterfinals should the 2020/21 Pokal Champions progress that far. Dortmund will learn their next opponents in this competition in a draw to be held on Sunday.
