As he closes in on the end of his most active season since leaving Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey has now seen his contract automatically extended at Nice after playing the required number of matches this year, according to Nice-Matin.
The Welsh national team captain, who arrived this summer on a free transfer after an injury-hit spell at Juventus, has managed 34 games in all competitions so far this campaign.
The 32-year-old is also hoping to renew his contract for a further year, taking his time on the Côte d’Azur up to 2025 and raising his current salary, and would like his family to join him.
Ramsey scored on his debut for Les Aiglons against Toulouse on the opening matchday of the season, and has largely been spared by any injury issues so far during his time in the south of France. Earlier this month, the midfielder had lauded the coaching staff’s work, led by the rookie Didier Digard, and expressed his desire to remain.
