West Ham could lose midfielder Lucas Paqueta this summer as the Brazilian is still being tracked by Man City after the Premier League champions attempted to sign the player last year.
Pep Guardiola is a fan of the West Ham star and wanted to sign the 26-year-old last summer and it was widely reported that they had agreed an £80m with the Hammers. However, the deal collapsed as it emerged that Paqueta was the subject of a betting breach investigation by FIFA and the FA.
An outcome on this is expected soon and if it is positive, Man City could make their move, with West Ham unlikely to resist an offer once it matches their valuation of the player, reports Football Insider.
Paqueta has a contract at the London Stadium until 2027, therefore, the £80m fee agreed last summer will be the benchmark ahead of the new season.
The Brazil international has been a crucial player for David Moyes during the current campaign and it is easy to see why Guardiola wants him as he has managed to score five goals and provide six assists in 27 games.
