Providing an update on Bayern Munich’s injured players on Tuesday, head coach Thomas Tuchel had a mixed bag of news to share.
While Serge Gnabry and Konrad Laimer are both making good progress in their recoveries, Alphonso Davies could be out for longer than originally hoped. Kingsley Coman will also need a considerable amount of time before he is ready to return.
“It feels like Serge Gnabry has been out since the cup game in Münster. He’s on the pitch and doing individual training with the ball. That’s good news,” Tuchel told reporters at his press conference on Tuesday.
“With Konrad Laimer, hopefully things are going faster than expected. But with Alphonso Davies, it’s going to take a little bit longer than originally hoped.
“Kingsley Coman is still walking with a brace. That’s going to take a while. It would be nice to have competition for places in all positions for a longer period of time”.
