According to Fabrice Hawkins, PSG are set to miss out on Leny Yoro (18) from Lille in the winter transfer window. Despite pinpointing the France U21 international as their primary target in defence, the 18-year-old is set to stay at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy until the summer transfer window.
Les Parisiens are keen to strengthen their defence with injuries to key players like Milan Škriniar and Presnel Kimpembe but will have to wait until the summer if they are to get their man. The Ligue 1 champions are likely to face stiff competition to sign the Lille defender in the summer transfer window with Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly interested.
PSG still in the market
Although Paris Saint-Germain look set to miss out on Yoro, they still remain in the market in the final days of the window. The Ligue 1 leaders making a signing before the close of the window cannot be ruled out, according to Hawkins. PSG want to reinforce their defence and have been linked with Diego Llorente from Leeds United but it remains to be seen if there will be any more new arrivals at the Parc des Princes before the deadline.
