Luthe returns to Bochum

VfL Bochum have signed Andreas Luthe from Kaiserslautern on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The move sees the 36-year-old return to the club where he came through the youth ranks and made his first senior appearances.

“We had to react to the injury of Michael Esser and were therefore looking for an experienced goalkeeper who, together with Manuel Riemann and Niclas Thiede, could reliably meet our training and playing standards,” said VfL Bochum sporting director Marc Lettau.

“Andreas Luthe fits this profile, knows Bochum and VfL and can help us immediately.”
