With the arrival of Jadon Sancho expected soon, Bild reports that Marco Reus’ position in the team is now under threat as his relationship with Edin Terzic has declined in recent weeks.
Before Dortmund’s 1-1 draw with Mainz in their last game before the winter break, Reus had complained to Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim Watzke about coach Edin Terzic, this resulted in the 34-year-old spending the whole game on the bench.
Once Sancho arrives, the 23-year-old is expected to be used in a central position or on the wing, both of which Reus plays in. Due to his strained relationship with Terzic, it will likely mean that Reus will be demoted further down the pecking order.
Reus had hoped for an outside chance of making Euro 2024 in Germany and with his contract expiring in the summer, Dortmund may likely find themselves in a position that sees them having to choose between club legend Reus and Terzic.
