Real Madrid primed to open renewal talks with Carlo Ancelotti

The powers that be at Real Madrid are readying a fresh push to tie head coach Carlo Ancelotti down to a new contract with the club.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have provided an update on the future of the Italian tactician.

The subject of Ancelotti’s plans has of course long taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital.

This comes with his current terms due to expire in the summer of 2024, and, to this point, little progress having been made in negotiations towards a renewal.

The Brazilian national team, meanwhile, have not been shy in making their interest in the services of Real’s boss public.

As a result, it has long been unclear whether or not Ancelotti will in fact lead Los Blancos’ charge into the 2024/25 campaign.

If the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, though, Florentino Pérez and co. are ready to do their utmost to ensure that this does prove the case.

As per AS, Real’s board are ‘delighted’ with the work being done by their manager at present.

As a result, they intend to open a fresh round of contract talks with Ancelotti on the back of the upcoming Spanish Super Cup.

Brazil, it is suggested, will therefore be forced to ‘wait’.
