Sport1 reports that VfB Stuttgart’s Sehrou Guirassy is not a target for Manchester United in the winter and they are to look elsewhere.
After Bild previously reported that United were interested in Guirassy, the rumour has now gone cold. Instead United have turned their attentions to former Bayern Munich striker Joshua Zirkzee who is currently at Bologna.
Zirkzee currently has a €22m release clause in his contract which means it would be easy for United to acquire the 22-year-old. However, Bayern have an option that they can match the offer of whichever club bids for Zirkzee whilst they are also entitled to 50% of the sell-on fee of Zirkzee.
At the moment it is unlikely that Bayern will try and resign Zirkzee as they are currently well positioned in attack with Harry Kane and Mathys Tel but they can try and force up the price of Zirkzee to benefit from the sell-on fee.
