Eintracht Frankfurt are investigating the possibility of bringing Thilo Kehrer back to Germany, according to Sport Bild.
The 27-year-old could leave the Hammers in January having played just 18 minutes of Premier League football so far this season – far from enough if he is to challenge for a place in Germany’s Euro squad.
According to the report, Eintracht could take advantage of the situation, with board member for sport Markus Krösche apparently keen to sign Kehrer in January.
Due to the player’s salary demands, a loan move is the most likely option, the report claims.
Kehrer joined West Ham from Paris Saint-Germain for a reported fee of €12 million in the summer of 2022.
