Jiri Pavlenka will push Michael Zetterer to the bench once he’s fit again, Werder boss Clemens Fritz has stressed.

Although Michael Zetterer has performed well in his absence, Jiri Pavlenka will be back in goal for Werder Bremen once he has recovered from the muscle injury that has kept him out of the last two games.
This was underlined by Werder Bremen’s head of professional football Clemens Fritz in an interview with Deichstube.
“Zetti knows his role,” Fritz told the Bremen-based outlet.
“But big compliments – he did really well in both games, both on the line and with the ball at his feet. We know about his strengths and are glad to have him.”
Whether Pavlenka will be back in goal against Wolfsburg this weekend remains to be seen.
“In the case of ‘Pavlas’, we’ll have to wait and see over the next few days when he’ll be able to rejoin the team,” Fritz said.
