Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel believes tonight’s 4-3 win over Manchester United was an important confidence booster for his side, but admits there’s still room for improvement.
The Bayern coach, who watched the game from the stands as he was suspended, told DAZN:
“It was a bit paradoxical because our second half was better than our first, but we lost the second and won the first. Tonight’s result was great for our confidence and development, but there are still things to work on.
“We are a threat in every game and create chances in every game, but we were very cautious in the first half and were lucky not to go behind. The goals have helped us build some confidence and fluidity. We’re not 100% happy so far, but the reactions to adversity tonight were very good.”
