Julian Draxler’s (29) move from Paris Saint-Germain to Qatar has been thrown into doubt, according to a report from L’Équipe.
It was reported on Saturday that the German midfielder was on the verge of making a move to Al-Ahli SC. Draxler is one of many “undesirables” slated for a departure from PSG this summer. He had reportedly rejected a move to Premier League side Crystal Palace, however, with the Qatari window still open until 18th September, Draxler can still move.
Alongside PSG teammate Marco Verratti (30), who looks set to complete his move to Al-Arabi, according to L’Équipe, Draxler was also expected to imminently complete his move to the Middle East. Whilst it could still happen, it is no longer quite so imminent. The German international has asked for more time to consider the move, amidst his family’s concerns over the move. With Qatar’s transfer window open for just over one week, he will have to quickly make up his mind.
