As reported exclusively by Fabrizio Romano, Wolfsburg will sign Sassuolo left-back Rogerio (25).
There was an agreement between both clubs last night and now Romano is reporting the deal to be done. There’s no mention on the length of the contract that Rogerio will sign, but Wolfsburg have been in the market for a new left-back.
Following Jérôme Roussillon’s move to Union Berlin in January, Micky van de Ven had been operating on the left-side of a back-three with Mattias Svanberg and Jakub Kamiński both operating on the left side in the Frenchman’s absence. But now, Wolfsburg will have a recognised left-back in the squad after the departure of Paulo Otavio to Al Saad.
With the departure of Felix Nmecha to Borussia Dortmund for €30m, it’s been somewhat of a quiet window thus far for Wolfsburg. Vaclav Cerny, Moritz Jenz, Tiago Tomas and Cédric Zesiger all arrived for a combined €29m.
