Both Sky Germany and Kicker Magazine are currently reporting that FC Schalke are set to pick up SC Freiburg midfielder Lino Tempelmann.

C Freiburg have apparently found a solution for one of the players they’ve been seeking to shed off their roster. The loan club at which midfielder Lino Tempelmann recently spent two seasons on loan, 1. FC Nürnberg, were said to have a strong interest in retaining the 24-year-old’s services. Newly demoted FC Schalke 04 have nevertheless reportedly beaten “der Klub” to the punch and are about to sign the German youth international.
Tempelmann attracted attention with 66 largely solid performances for Nürnberg in midfield over the past two seasons. The Munich-native also scored six 2. Bundesliga goals and quadrupled his estimated market worth to €2 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that talks between Schalke and Freiburg have been positive and are progressing rapidly.
