Manchester City are understood to be working on a deal to bring Josko Gvardiol to England.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the treble winners are making progress in their talks over personal terms with the Leipzig defender.
However, Leipzig have made it clear on several occasions that they would prefer to keep the player beyond the summer.
It would therefore take an extraordinary fee to convince the Bundesliga outfit to sell the Croatian superstar.
The 21-year-old centre-back is under contract with Leipzig until 2027.
