Real Madrid are preparing a new contract proposal to Eduardo Camavinga (20), whose wish is to remain at the La Liga club, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to the Italian journalist, the Frenchman is attracting interest from Premier League clubs. RMC Sport reported in January that Premier League leaders Arsenal were interested in the Real Madrid midfielder, but the Stade Rennais Academy product is only interested in remaining in the Spanish capital.
Speaking to France Ouest in March, Camavinga said that upon joining Real Madrid in 2021, he felt “straight away that [he had] joined the best club in the world.” Naturally, therefore, Camavinga wants to extend his stay at the Bernabeu, and that is the club’s wish as well.
The Frenchman’s current deal expires in 2027, but Real Madrid are preparing a new proposal in the coming months, according to Romano. Camavinga’s salary would be improved, whilst the contract would also include a higher release clause, potentially as high as €1bn. Discussions will be held soon.
