Sport Bild reports that FC Augsburg will not let Ricardo Pepi leave this summer unless they recoup the €16 million they paid to sign him in the winter of 2022.

“It does him no good to remain with us.”

FC Augsburg have reportedly set their asking price for wantaway striker Ricardo Pepi.

Pepi is on loan at Groningen until the end of the season and has made it clear that he has no intention of returning to his parent club.

However, according to Sport Bild, Augsburg will not let the 20-year-old leave unless they can get at least €16 million – the fee they paid to sign him from Dallas in January 2022.

Feyenoord and PSV are thought to be among the suitors for the US international, who has found the net 12 times in 26 appearances for Groningen.
