Bild are reporting that Marco Reus is set to take a big pay cut if he is to extend his contract at Borussia Dortmund.
The 33-year-old currently earns €12 million a year, if he is to sign the proposed contract extension his salary will be reduced to €6 million a year. The length of the contract is also set to be only be one year.
A decision on Reus’ future at Dortmund will be made in April at the latest. It is looking likely that the 33-year-old will extend his contract at Dortmund.
This season has seen Reus play a bit part role for Dortmund missing 13 games this season through injury. He has been able to play 18 games, scoring five and assisting seven this season and since his return from his most recent injury, his form has begun to pick up as well as playing an important role in Dortmund’s wins against Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim recently.
