SC Freiburg confirmed the loss of versatile attacker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh for the duration of the season on Friday.

SC Freiburg up-and-comer Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has been lost for the season after suffering an ACL tear in training. The 26-year-old’s Bundesliga club confirmed this most unfortunate news on Friday. The German-Ghanian scored three goals and bagged an assist in 18 appearances for the Breisgauer across all competitions this season.
Kyereh, a rather expensive summer addition, had to deal with injury and form issues during the first half of the season. He was widely regarded as having been one of the Bundesliga actors who most firmly established himself in any of the top-tier clubs’ January training camps. Kyereh started two of Freiburg’s five fixtures since play resumed after the turn of the calendar year.
