Celtic winger Liel Abada has put himself on the ‘right platform’ for a future move away from the club, according to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph.
The Israel international decided to switch agents recently, sparking speculation that he could already have one eye on the next step in his career following an impressive 18-month spell at Parkhead.
What is the latest news involving Abada?
A report from The Sun revealed that Abada chose to leave Israeli agent Dudu Dahan for Hussein Al Gaaod’s FSB stable, who also look after Antonio Rudiger and Celtic’s Josip Juranovic.
FSB were relatively busy over the summer, brokering Rudiger’s move from Chelsea to Real Madrid, while Juranovic was heavily linked to the Blues, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.
Abada himself supposedly attracted the attention of Crystal Palace in the previous transfer window, yet Celtic will not feel threatened by his decision to switch representatives just yet.

That’s because the 21-year-old still has just over three-and-a-half-years left to run on his current £15,000-per-week contract, leaving the Glasgow giants in a position of power.
It remains to be seen if Abada pushes for a move away from Celtic over the coming months, but Celtic should receive a substantial fee if he does seek pastures new.
What has Joseph said about Abada?
When asked if he believed there was anything in Abada’s decision to change agency, Joseph disclosed that he believes ‘there is’, although doesn’t necessarily think a departure is imminent.
He told GiveMeSport: “I think that there is considering how perhaps Juranovic’s agent was working during the transfer window as well.

“So, I think this is Abada’s way of perhaps not looking for the next move but just putting himself on the right platform to get that next move if and when it comes. When that will be, we obviously don’t know, he’s on a long-term contract with Celtic too.
“So Celtic still have a lot of power, and over the situation in terms of if someone wants to come in, they will be able to command a pretty hefty fee because he’s such a valuable player and looks like he’s only going to get more valuable.”
Who could replace Abada?
Abada has scored 21 goals for Celtic while providing a further 12 assists for his teammates, claiming the Scottish Premiership title and League Cup along the way.
Replacing him would be difficult, therefore, but that burden would likely fall to summer signing Sead Haksabanovic.
The Montenegro international arrived from Rubin Kazan back in August and is comfortable on either flank, and at just 23, still has the best years of his career ahead of him.
