Bart Verbruggen has been linked with top clubs such as Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona after impressing for Brighton & Hove Albion and the Netherlands.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper, however, insists he is fully focused on what happens on the pitch.
“It’s always a compliment to be linked with such big clubs, but I haven’t focused on it much. I had knee issues this summer and focused on staying fit,” Verbruggen told Soccernews.nl.
“Honestly, I don’t know what was really on the table. My agent shields me from that. If something concrete comes up and decisions need to be made, I’ll hear about it.”
For now, Verbruggen is focused on the tasks at hand.
“It’s important to stay calm and take everything step by step. Eventually, you see where it leads. This week, my focus is on the Netherlands, playing the qualifiers, and getting good results,” he said.
