Patrick Mahomes trainer, Bobby Stroupe, responded immediately to criticism a local radio and podcast host had of the Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback.
As the NFL is currently in the off-season, Mahomes is on vacation. After a few photographs from his time away from football spread online, Kevin Kietzman said on his podcast platform that the athlete was “fat” and “an embarrassment.”
The Chiefs fanbase was quick to support their idol, but the chief advocate for the player was none other than Stroupe, who posted time and again about the criticism, the radio host, and Mahomes as a player, and sportsman.

Patrick Mahomes Trainer Responds to Criticism he’s ‘Fat’
Patrick Stroupe was not accepting any criticism of the Kansas City Chiefs superstar while he’s on vacation
It all started when the internet, and Chiefs supporters, got wind of a statement made by Kevin Kietzman on a podcast.
Here’s a brief summary of Kietzman’s comments:
“Vacation photos are popping up of Patrick Mahomes, and he’s fat. I’m gonna say it, and I’m gonna tell you the truth—that’s why you hit the play button—he’s an embarrassment.”
Stroupe got right to the heart of the matter in his no-nonsense response to the podcast host, and seemingly had the backing of many Chiefs fans, too.
“You obviously need attention,” he said.
“If you want to see what in-shape is, go make it through a practice at Saint Jo or run hurry up offense scrambling back-to-back plays. You don’t have a clue what it takes.”
“It’s not a look, it’s performance.”
“I have a question for you — when has Patrick appeared to be tired in a game? When did he not have the physical ability to make a play in a long drive? When have you see us train? When have you seen him eat? What do you know about his regimen?”
Kietzman is yet to respond.
Kansas City Chiefs do not return until a first pre-season game against the Cardinals on the 9th of August. Its first game proper is against the Los Angeles Chargers at the Corinthians Arena on the 5th of September.
