Kim Min-jae’s Bayern Munich future has been well documented this month and the Rekordmeister have since shortlisted Tomás Araújo. According to Bild’s Bayern Insider Podcast, the Portuguese international has been named as a potential replacement for the South Korean defender, who has interest from Liverpool and Milan.
While Bayern Munich aren’t actively looking to sell Kim – who has a contract until 2028, they could be enticed should they be able to recoup a large chunk of the €50m fee they paid Napoli in 2023. The Bundesliga has been a happy hunting ground for Liverpool this summer following the arrival of Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.
Bayern Munich aren’t actively pursuing Araújo, but they are naturally looking at several players in different positions to prepare for every possibility. Jonathan Tah has already joined the Rekordmeister following the departure of Eric Dier to AS Monaco, but the Bundesliga champions could yet add defensive reinforcements should the circumstances be correct.
