Arsenal are preparing a second offer in excess of €70m (£60m) for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to Portuguese newspaper Mais Futebol.
The Gunners remain determined to sign the Sweden international after reportedly seeing their first approach rebuffed and are now working on an improved bid to beat their Premier League rivals to his signature.
Manchester United also have the ‘extraordinary’ 26-year-old striker on their radar, as they aim to reunite him with manager Ruben Amorim, under whom Gyokeres blossomed into one of Europe’s top forwards during his two seasons at Sporting.
