According to Florian Plettenberg, Brighton & Hove Albion striker Deniz Undav will sign for VfB Stuttgart later today.
Over recent weeks, Stuttgart’s summer-long pursuit of Undav has, at times, looked to have ultimately been in vain.
Nevertheless, with the German international stating his frustration towards Brighton’s refusal to let him leave this summer, the Premier League outfit appeared to have a change of heart.
As recently reported, a deal for Undav has now been struck, and the 28-year-old will be announced as a Stuttgart player later today.
It is understood that Die Roten will pay a club record fee of €26.7 million for Undav.
As well as this, the striker will sign a three-year deal at the MHP Arena, with the option of a one-year extension, seeing Undav possibly remain at the club until 2028.
Despite Undav’s arrival, it is not out of the equation that Stuttgart could look to bring in more attacking reinforcement this summer, with the club looking at a host of different names.
