According to Florian Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund are now pushing to complete a deal for Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier.
It had previously been reported that the German international was Dortmund’s number one target to replace the outgoing Niclas Füllkrug and Youssoufa Moukoko.
However, as stated in the report, Die Schwarzgelben are now looking to finalise a deal for Beier as soon as possible.
It is understood that after new talks, BvB have made the decision to put all their attention into signing the 21-year-old, a feeling shared by the club’s new head coach, Nuri Şahin.
As well as this, Beier is excited about the opportunity to play for Dortmund and is keen to complete the move in the coming days.
Hoffenheim have made it clear that they will demand €25–€30 million for the striker, and Dortmund are prepared to match their valuation.
Despite interest in Beier from a number of other European clubs, such as Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Juventus, it appears as though Dortmund will beat them to the signing of the Hoffenheim striker.
