Because of their financial woes, Barcelona need to generate a significant amount of money -believed to be in the region of €100m – before they are able to return to La Liga’s 1:1 rule, which would allow signings to be made without any financial restrictions. Candidates for sale are being considered, and one player that could move on is Mikayil Faye.
Faye’s stock is very high at the moment because of his impressive performances for Barca Atletic, with numerous clubs across Europe having registered their interest – among them is Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, according to MD.

The report goes on to say that Barcelona would consider selling Faye is a “good offer” were to arrive. The 19-year-old will not continue with Barca Atletic next season, but currently, there is no clear route for him into the first team due to the number of options already there.
If a sale does occur, the idea is for Barcelona to include a buy-back clause in any agreement, so that they still have some control over Faye’s future. It would be a smart move, especially if they do receive a lucrative offer in the coming weeks.
