Chelsea target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be priced out of a move in January, says transfer reporter Dean Jones, who believes the player would be an “upgrade” on the likes of Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech.
The Napoli attacker is thought to be on the west London club’s radar, but a switch in the winter window looks highly unlikely.

What is the latest news involving Kvaratskhelia?
Kvaratskhelia’s agent Christian Emile recently told transfer expert Fabrizio Romano that his client could cost €100m (around £88m) in the near future.
In terms of potential destinations if he does end up leaving Napoli, Chelsea are one club who have been mentioned.
Journalist Simon Phillips told GIVEMESPORT earlier this month that the Blues have been scouting both Kvaratskhelia and his team-mate Victor Osimhen.
Away from Chelsea, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are also said to be interested in the 21-year-old. According to 90min, all three clubs are keeping tabs on him.

What has Jones said about Kvaratskhelia and Chelsea?
While Jones thinks Kvaratskhelia would be an upgrade on Ziyech and Pulisic, he cannot see the Georgian moving to Graham Potter’s side in January.
Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “I think he would be an upgrade on those players. I’m not convinced that they will get him. The player is going to have a huge fee put on his head.
“Certainly, I think he’ll be priced out of a move in January. I don’t think they want to sell him then. I can’t see it happening. That’s what I’ve been told.”

Is Kvaratskhelia worth £88m?
Kvaratskhelia is having a fantastic season. Since joining Napoli from Dinamo Batumi back in July, the Georgia international has scored six times in Serie A and twice in the Champions League.
Speaking about Kvaratskhelia after Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Napoli at the start of the month, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp said (via Liverpool Echo): “He is really good, the boy. Really quick, we have to defend it well together in these moments. When he has the advantage of the first moment, then he is already gone.
“You have to try to be there in the moment when the ball arrives. If you cannot to do that, you need to be protected because he has speed. He is cheeky. He can go inside; he goes outside. That always makes him difficult. A good player.”
This is the first season where Kvaratskhelia has performed in a top European league, though. Before any club decides to splash out £88m on him, they will probably want to see a bit more of the Napoli star.
